Mitchell Robson, 14, of Marblehead, is one of 45 student spellers to make the finals, and the only Bay State student still in the national competition.

Down to 10 competitors, Robson will compete in the final round tonight at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

Update: 1:45 p.m.
Round seven started with 14 competitors and Robson remains in, after correctly spelling "piqueur."
Update: 1:15 p.m.
Still in it in round six, after correctly spelling "formatore."
Update: 12:30 p.m.
Robson is one of just 18 remaining spellers, after correctly spelling "nagelfluh" in round five.

CBS Boston reports he remains in the race after correctly spelling "pentecostys" earlier today.
Massachusetts had four competitors in this year's national competition, but only Robson survived the preliminary round. The Preliminaries consisted of the Preliminaries Test and two rounds of onstage oral spelling.
