Dedication for New Danvers High set for Oct. 26

Here's what you need to know today in Danvers.

Today is Thursday, Oct. 17. Here are five things to know today in Danvers.

  1. The date for the dedication and public celebration of the newly renovated Danvers High School is Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. - noon. It's a Saturday. There will be tours led by students and a reception inside the Atrium following the ceremony.
  2. In case you missed it, Danvers selectmen reviewed Town Manager Wayne Marquis' annual performance evaluation on Tuesday, bestowing high marks yet again for the longtime manager
  3. Danvers High football is scheduled to host the Salem Witches Friday (7 p.m.). The Falcons are on a roll after defeating Lynn Classical last week, 29-26, to give them a 4-1 record.
  4. St. John's Prep will be hosting an open house on Saturday for prospective students.
  5. Plumfield Academy in Danvers is also holding its open house on Oct. 21.
  6. One more thing: The annual holiday crafters' fair at All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore is also coming up Nov. 9.
