Heroin Seized in Thursday Drug Bust
A man accused of dealing heroin in Danvers was arrested in Lynn with the help of multiple departments.

Danvers, MA - After a months-long investigation, on Thursday Danvers police made an arrest of a man who has allegedly been dealing heroin in town, seizing 30 grams of heroin.
The name of the man who was arrested in Lynn has not been released at this time, pending confirmation of his identity.

The investigation and arrest was the result of work between Danver police, members of the DEA Task Force, the Massachusetts State Police, the Lynn Police Department, and the ATF.
The arrest came on Thursday as a result of a motor vehicle stop and the ensuing issuance and execution of a search warrant at a residence in Lynn.

In Lynn, over 30 grams of heroin, a small amount of cocaine, over $10,000 in cash, a semi-automatic .380 handgun, and a heroin packaging press were seized. Danvers Police Department K9 Stryka located narcotics during the execution of the search warrant.
For Stryka, it was his first narcotics find while with the department, according to Danvers Police.
The arrestee will be charged with Trafficking Heroin, Possession Class A with Intent to Distribute, Possession Class B with Intent to Distribute, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, Illegal Possession of Ammunition and is currently being held on $20,000 cash bail. Additional charges are possibly pending, acording to Danvers Police.
“This was an exceptional investigation lead by our Danvers Police Detective assigned to the DEA Regional Task Force," said Danvers Police Chief Patrick Ambrose. "Hopefully, this will assist in interrupting the availability of heroin on the North Shore while we, and other police agencies, continue in our efforts to attack the opioid crisis. “
