ICYMI: Danvers Historical Society Collecting Shoes

Danvers DPW Celebrates 'America Recycles' With Special Two-Day Event

Since 1997, communities across the country have come together on November 15 to celebrate America Recycles Day. More than a celebration, America Recycles Day is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to the promotion of recycling programs in the United States. People around the country will celebrate recycling in a special way during this month.

In Danvers, DPW officials are celebrating by offering residents a two-day event where they can recycle a variety of items not collected by curbside pickup.

Recycle outside of the bin! The Town of Danvers Department of Public Works’ Zero Waste Recycling Weekend will be held on November 7 and 8, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the High School parking lot at 60 Cabot Road. This event is co-sponsored by Big Brother Big Sister Foundation, Big Hearted Books, JRM and XTechnology Global.
