Interchange Reconstruction Update: Interstate 93 at Routes 110 and 113

Methuen rotary project work planned in January. Times for expected lane CLOSURES.

METHUEN, MA - A lot of work is planned on the Methuen Rotary reconstruction project in January, according to state highway officials.

During January:

  • Continue work on drainage operations at the existing and new ramps at I-93 Northbound and I-93 Southbound.
  • Continue work on utilities within the existing rotary.
  • Continue work on utilities on Routes 110 and 113 east and west of the rotary.
  • Continue excavation for the west section of the I-93 bridge over relocated Route 110/113.
  • Form and place concrete at the abutments and pier of the west section of the I-93 bridge over the relocated Route 110/113.
  • Form and place concrete at the retaining wall along Noyes Street.

  • Daytime work on I-93 – 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Nighttime work on I-93 – 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Daytime work on local roads – 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Expected Lane Closures:

  • Single lane closures on I-93 northbound from 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Single lane closures on I-93 southbound from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Double lane closures on I-93 southbound from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Single lane closures on local roads from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
