Patrick Ambrose Named Danvers Police Chief
Patrick M. Ambrose began serving as the department's Acting Chief after the June 2015 retirement of Chief Neil F. Ouellette.

Danvers, MA - Patrick M. Ambrose can now remove the word Acting from in front of Police Chief in Danvers.
At Thursday night's selectmen's meeting, Town Manager Steve Bartha announced that Ambrose has been appointed the Chief of Police in Danvers. Ambrose has been serving as Acting Chief of Police since May 2015.

Chief Ambrose started his career with the Danvers Police Department in 1985 as a Reserve Officer and was appointed as a full time Officer in 1987. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1999, Lieutenant in 2003 and had been a Captain since 2005.
Last night, Chief Ambrose had the opportunity to speak to the Town Manager, Board of Selectmen, and those in attendance, including numerous members of the Danvers Police Department.

“ I am truly honored to be appointed the Chief of Police for Danver," Ambrose said. "I look forward to leading the men and woman of this agency in providing the Danvers community with the highest quality police services.”
A formal swearing in ceremony will be held later this month.
