Tombstone Falls On Person at Walnut Grove Cemetery

Sunday, April 29

  • Police were dispatched to at 5:41 p.m., on a report of a tombstone falling on an individual and injuring his leg. The victim was transported to the hospital.
  • At 9:29 p.m. police were dispatched to River Drive on a report of suspicious people, possibly smoking marijuana.

  • A cinderblock was reportedly thrown through a vehicle's window on Cornell Road at 6:28 a.m.
  • Multiple trash bags were reportedly illegally dumped on Ferncroft Road at 7:06 a.m.
  • Another vehicle on Cornell Road was reported to have a smashed window at 7:14 a.m.
  • Car keys were reported stolen from at 10:20 a.m.
  • Police were notified at 1:16 p.m. of a pair of sneakers that were stolen at .
  • A vehicle was reported maliciously damaged on North Belgian Road at 1:25 p.m. A large rock had gone into the front windshield.
  • Police were dispatched to a home on a report of an "out of control" 11-year-old at 5:08 p.m.
  • An individual was reported stealing baby formula from at 5:21 p.m.
  • A refrigerator was reported stolen from at 6:23 p.m.
  • A domestic dispute on Stone Street was reported at 7:53 p.m. A woman told police her husband had hit her.

Tuesday, May 1

  • An unwanted 20-year-old guest was reported to police from Endicott Green Apartments at 4:47 a.m.
  • Police were dispatched to Burley Street and Old Burley Street at 10:18 a.m. on a report of possible gunshots. Police could not locate the suspicious activity. 
  • A bubbling manhole cover was reported at 12:55 p.m. on the corner of Endicott and Water streets. The situation was unfounded.
  • A North Reading man was at 1:37 p.m.
  • Metal was reported stolen on Centre Street at 3:55 p.m.
