We are informing you as quickly as we have been notified in the hope that you would speak up and participate at this site visit by MA DEP.

Attached is the site visit notification.

The enormous jet hanger has significant environmental consequences to the water shed, ground water, air, exhaust and fuel emissions which are of major concern:

Fish Frost Brook and potential runoff to Danvers Coastal Zone and Ipswich River Basin. Surrounding Con Com communities and ANY communities drawing clean water from the Ipswich River should be alerted to this walk through.

The potential for 2 planes exploding, each carrying nearly 7,000 gallons of airplane fuel and its impact on the Ipswich River Watershed.

The current conditions related to ground water and the associated fuel and PFAS spills are already affecting the location and impacts to the environmental conditions at the airport. The current spill plumes and the discharge of PFAS contaminants are currently under review and must be decontaminated before more expansion is permitted.

Flight Level Engineering has purposely understated the square footage size of the hangar to be just under 40,000 square feet because at 40k square feet they would be required to install foam fire prevention equipment rather than the less expensive and less effective water system. The current provisions have not been proven and reviewed by the Danvers Fire Department.

The Fire Department and its Chief should be besieged with requests to reexamine how this company has tried to circumvent the local and state zoning laws and fire codes by understating the actual square footage.

Our Residents are mobilized for this site visit and we will use all possible resources or political connections that can help inform friends, local officials or media outlets. Please assist us to stop this hangar expansion with all the negative impacts it will entail, for our community and our state. The final appeal must be directed to our Governor and the State legislators.

The MA DEP Site Visit is scheduled for Friday January 3, 2025 at 10AM. The location is planned for the West side of the Beverly Airport in Danvers, at 191 Old Burley Street.
