5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: July 23
OMG Bagels newest vendor at Framingham Farmers Market, free gardening program at Framingham History Center and Main Street detour tonight.
1. The Framingham History Center presents Stories, Songs, and Seeds with storyteller Libby Franck today at 10;30 a.m. at the Edgell Memorial Library for families.
The free children’s gardening program is geared for families with school-aged children. Attendees will hear a tale about “3 sisters,” learn about Native Americans and gardening and leave with a clay flower pot and seeds.
2. The Framingham Farmers Market will be open today from noon to 5:30 p.m. at the Framingham Centre Common. A new vendor this week is OMG Bagels.

3. Contractors working on utility improvements on Main Street in the vicinity of Buckminster Square will be detouring southbound traffic onto Franklin Street tonight and for the next couple of weeks Sundays through Thursdays from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Click here for more details and a map.

4. Tonight is the first meeting of the Skateboard Advisory Committee. The Committee is tasked by Framingham Town Meting to decide where to construct a skate park in town. Click here to learn more. The meeting is open to the public and starts at 7 at the Framingham Parks & Recreation building on Union Avenue.
