5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: July 28

The town's trio of public beaches will be open today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

1. Grab and umbrella when heading out the door today. Storms are expected to pop up this afternoon in MetroWest.

2. The Town’s trio of public beaches will be open today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Beach tags are required to use the beaches. They can be purchased on site at Lake Waushakum, Saxonville Beach, and Learneds Pond.

3. Both the Framingham Selectmen and Framingham School Committee are on their summer schedule and will not meet tonight.

4. Today is National Milk Chocolate Day. Stop by one of my favorite small businesses in town Chocolate Therapy and pick up a few chocolates. Chocolate Therapy is located on Route 9 East.

5. July 31 is the deadline to purchase a brick with the Framingham Public Library Foundation. The bricks will line the walkway of the new McAuliffe Library branch under construction.
