5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: June 5
Meditative breathing lecture, Brophy Elementary variety show, Framingham Fire truck rear-ended, and contemporary jazz at Amazing Things.

1. Brophy Elementary School will hold its annual variety show tonight at 6:30. Tickets will be sold at the door. $5 per person and maximum $20 per family.
2. Learn about meditative breathing at the Framingham Public Library’s kickoff event of its new Brown Bag Learning Series.
Addie Alex of Light of The Heart Yoga in Holliston will lead the hour-long, free event at the main Framingham Library today at noon. Attendees are encouraged to bring their bag lunch. Coffee will be provided.

The library plans to hold a Brown Bag Learning event once a month.
3. Listen to edgy, contemporary jazz tonight at Amazing Things Arts Center. World-jazz ensemble Natraj and special guest, tabla wizard Amit Kavethekar, are teaming up for the scheduled 8 p.m. performance. The concert will feature. contemporary treatments of Indian classical music, adaptations of traditional West African songs, and Natraj’s signature Indo-Afro-jazz originals.Tickets are still available.

4. A Framingham fire truck was rear-ended on Wednesday night just before midnight in the rotary in front of the Memorial Building. No firefighters were injured in the June 3, 11:33 p.m. crash. The driver of the vehicle, who struck the fire truck returning from a call, was not injured either. The crash is under investigation. No one was arrested nor cited, as of midnight Friday.
5. Plan ahead: This is graduation weekend in Framingham.
- Keefe Technical School’s Class of 2015 will graduate Saturday morning at the school
- Framingham Highs Class of 2015 will graduate Sunday afternoon at Bowditch Field, starting at 1.
