5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: October 14
Main Framingham Library hosting WBZ's Mel Simons tonight and fundraiser at Samba's and cyber safety workshop at King Elementary.

1. The Framingham Special Education Parent Advisory Council (F-SEPAC) is hosting a Cyber Safety and Bullying Prevention at King Elementary School from 7 to 9. Framingham Police Officer Sean Riley will be doing the free presentation and engaging kids in conversation.
There will be free pizza for the kids courtesy of Gianniβs Pizzeria. Please RSVP using the Evite link below. 2. Samba & Samba West are both hosting a fundraiser for the Sharon Marie Gath Scholarship at Framingham State University tonight from 4 to 8 p.m.

In August 2013, Gath, 35, died in a tragic accident, as a direct result from having Epilepsy.Last month, her family decided to raise $25,000 for a scholarship at Framingham State University in Sharonβs name. Recipients of this scholarship will be given (but not limited) to students who are in the fashion design and retailing program with a concentration in merchandising or the art and music program.
Samba and Samba West restaurants in Framingham will donate 20 percent of patrons bills, not including alcohol to to the scholarship when you dine in or take out with the attached flyer.

Several Framingham High teams had games and meets on Tuesday, after the long weekend.
- The Framingham High girls swim & dive team won its seventh meet of the season.
- The #1 Needham Rockets defeated the boys soccer team.
- The girls soccer team lost to Needham.
- The girls volleyball team also lost to Needham
Today is the final home meet of the season for the Framingham boys and girls cross country team. Race starts at 3:45 p.m. at Framingham High
