6th Grade Football Team Shut Out by Brockton
Flyers lose 19-0 in final home game of the Framingham Youth Football season.

The Framingham Flyers faced the Brockton Raiders on Sunday, Oct. 18. This was the final regular season home game at the Framingham State University field for the Flyers so the fans, players, coaches, and volunteers were eager to soak in the experience.
Brockton was the first team to put points up on the board after a 20-yard run in the 1st quarter to make the score 7-0.

Framinghamβs Joseph Balboni had a great play later in the quarter where he broke up and nearly intercepted a pass.
Brockton continued to march down the field and allowed lots of time to pass on the clock in the 2nd quarter.

Ultimately, their drive was stopped near the Framingham 20-yard line. Jacques Cazeau had a powerful sack which made it tough for the Raiders to get another first down on this drive. Cazeau then took matters into his own hands when the Flyers got the ball back by bolting forward on a 20-yard run. He continued to run full force at Brocktonβs defense, but the time ran out in the 2nd quarter before the Flyers could score.
The Flyers used their momentum from the previous drive to attack Brocktonβs end zone in the 3rd quarter.
Despite swift running by Cazeau and Cody Coleman, Framingham had a turnover on downs inside the Raidersβ 20 yard line.
Soon after, Brockton made the score 13-0 when their quarterback threw a stellar 83-yard touchdown pass. Brockton the got the ball back when the Flyers fumbled near the 50-yard line.
The Raiders capitalized on this fumble by throwing a 30-yard touchdown pass and extending their lead to 19-0.
Even though they were down by three touchdowns, their defense still played with lots of intensity.
Jackson Zanella, Kavaun Smith, Kevin Branch II, Cody Coleman, and Alexander Lopez had some key defensive stops for Framingham.
In the end, the Flyers ended up losing 19-0.
