7th Grade Football Team Shuts Out Weymouth

Framingham Flyers defeated Weymouth 28-0.

Weymouth kicked off to the Flyers at the beginning of the first quarter and Framingham quickly grabbed hold of the lead with Dante Marino’s 32-yard touchdown run.

On the Wildcat’s first drive, a pass tipped off of the hands of a wide receiver and was intercepted by Akye Boston. This allowed Framingham to lead a drive with many runs by Heriberto Lopez and a great diving catch by William Villafane from Peter Sinesi.

Framingham’s lead increased to 13-0 after a short touchdown run. Weymouth’s offense finally started moving in the middle of the 2nd quarter, but didn’t reach the end zone thanks to stellar defense by the Flyers.

Isaiah Martino, Akye Boston, Jamar Williams, Shawn Ashe, Dante Marino, Rick Santana, William Villafane and many others were making plays all over the field for the Flyer defense.

As Weymouth was penetrating into Framingham territory near the end of the second quarter, Akye Boston skillfully picked off a Weymouth pass for his second interception of the day.

Weymouth was ready to start the second half with the ball, but they fumbled on the kickoff and allowed Heriberto Lopez to sprint away with the ball for a touchdown.

The score was now 21-0.

It became 28-0 when Jamar Williams had a 20-yard touchdown run with 7:24 left in the third quarter.

Weymouth was completely shut down on offense and Keion Mitchell had a fumble recovery for Framingham in the 4th quarter.

In the end, the Flyers won 28-0.
