AAA: Gas Prices Down A Dime From September

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down two cents from last week, according to AAA Northeast, which has an office on Route 9, in the Walgreen’s plaza.

AAA’s Oct. 19 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.09 per gallon, down two cents from last week.

Prices locally are 10 cents less than a month ago.

The current price is 17 cents less than the national average for self-serve unleaded of $2.26.

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $1.08 higher at $3.17.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 63 cents, from a low of $1.92 to a high of $2.55.
