AAA: Gasoline Prices More than $1 Cheaper Than Last Year

AAA's latest survey finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.14 per gallon in the Commonwealth

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts remain the same as last week, according to AAA Northeast, which has an office in Framingham.

AAA’s Oct. 5 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.14 per gallon, the same as last week.

Prices locally are 13 cents less than a month ago.

The current price is 15 cents less than the national average for self-serve unleaded of $2.29.

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $1.18 higher at $3.32.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 70 cents, from a low of $1.99 to a high of $2.69.
