Framingham Fire Department responded to an attic fire, near the Nobscot section of town, Wednesday night, July 22.

The fire was on Lowe Circle, located off Water Street.
When firefighters arrived they saw flames coming from the back of the Colonial home owned by the Tekur family.

A neighbor told Patch the mother and the son were home at the time of the fire, and everyone got out safely.
The fire alarm alerted the family to evacuate the house, according to the neighbor.
The Nobscot fire station sent E2, E7, E1, P1, and R1 to the fire, which started during the 7 o’clock hour.
The Colonial, built in 1972, suffered extensive fire and water damage.
The Framingham deputy fire chief on duty Wednesday night said the family is not able to live in the house, at this time.
One Framingham firefighter was injured during the fire, and transported for evaluation.
The Tekur family is well-known to Framingham Patch and many of its readers.
