Baker, Tse Graduate From Providence College

Providence College is the only college or university in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars.

Two Framingham residents were among more than 800 students from Providence College who received undergraduate degrees during the College’s 97th Commencement Exercises in May.

  • Christopher Baker received a bachelor’s degree
  • Justin Tse received a bachelor’s degree

The Commencement address was delivered by Darlene Love, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and star of the Academy-Award-winning documentary, 20 Feet From Stardom. She received an honorary doctorate in Music.

Four other distinguished individuals received honorary degrees from the College. They are: Dr. Henry “Hank” Foley ‘77, Rev. Gustavo Gutierrez, O.P., Jane Lunin Perel, and Kevin C. Phelan ‘66.

The Catholic, liberal arts college has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 3,900 students and offers degrees in 49 academic majors.
