Boston 2024 Olympic Bid Meeting for MetroWest Residents
Senator Karen Spilka and MetroWest organizations are hosting a community meeting on Boston 2024 Olympic Bid at Ashland High on June 10.

Boston 2024 invites MetroWest area residents to attend an Olympic Bid Community Meeting on Wednesday, June 10, at Ashland High at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting is hosted by State Senator Karen E. Spilka, who represents both Framingham and Ashland, 495/MetroWest Partnership, Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce, Marlborough Economic Development Corp, Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce, MetroWest Chamber of Commerce, MetroWest Regional Transit Authority, MetroWest Tourism and Visitors Bureau, Metro West Regional Collaborative, Milford Area Chamber of Commerce.
“This meeting is a terrific opportunity for the MetroWest community to hear more details about the Olympic bid proposal,” said Sen. Karen Spilka. “MetroWest needs to be a part of this conversation. I look forward to learning more and giving everyone a chance to ask questions and express their concerns.”

Part of Boston 2024’s statewide community meeting series, the event on June 10 provides an opportunity for local residents to hear from Boston 2024 leadership about the latest details surrounding the Olympic bid process and for residents to ask questions and share ideas.
“The 495/MetroWest Partnership appreciates Boston 2024 making our region a priority in their public outreach process providing additional information on their bid to host the 2024 Olympics,” said Paul Matthews, Executive Director of the 495/MetroWest Partnership in a press release.

“While we haven’t yet taken a position on the bid, we’re looking forward to learning more about how hosting the Olympics could impact 495/MetroWest’s communities, residents, infrastructure, and economy,“ said Matthew.
“In addition to thanking Boston 2024, we’d like to thank the other organizations that are joining the Partnership in hosting this important briefing - the Corridor Nine Area Chamber; Marlborough Economic Development Corporation; Marlborough Regional Chamber; MetroWest Chamber; MetroWest Regional Collaborative; MetroWest Regional Transit Authority; MetroWest Tourism and Visitors Bureau; and the Milford Area Chamber,” said Matthews.
