  • Since Wednesday, December 8, 281 Residents have Tested Positive, and 168 More have Recovered from COVID-19: The number of people in the City who have tested positive for COVID-19 is 10,127. With 9,407 recovered and 255 fatalities, Framingham currently has 408 active cases. The Framingham Health Department contacts individuals who test positive and the people who were potentially exposed to inform and counsel them on the next steps.
  • Health Department Distributes Demographic COVID-19 and Vaccination Data: The City's Department of Public Health distributes demographic COVID-19 data about confirmed COVID-19 cases and vaccination efforts in Framingham. Reference today's data release here.

  • Update on the Vaccine Equity Initiative in Framingham: Since Wednesday, March 24, 7,467 vaccines – first, second, and booster doses - (Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson and Johnson) have been administered under the Equity Initiative. Framingham continues to exceed many of the state benchmarks on COVID-19 vaccinations. To request a home visit, please call the City's Public Health Nursing Office at (508) 532-5667.   • Governor Baker Announces At-Home COVID-19 Tests for 102 High-Need Communities, Including Framingham: On Monday, December 13, the Baker-Polito Administration announced that at-home COVID-19 Test Kits would be provided to 102 High-Need Communities, including Framingham, with an emphasis on increasing access for individuals and families who are facing financial hardship. At this time, the City is currently awaiting its shipment delivery of home test kits. More information will be provided soon. 
  • The State Expands Eligibility for Booster Vaccines (Ages 16 and 17) - Pfizer only: Following CDC recommendations, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health has expanded the Pfizer booster vaccine eligibility for people ages 16 and 17 if they are at least six months post their initial Pfizer vaccination series.
