Community Raises $7,250 for Framingham Girl Who Drowned

Henryta Narteh, 10, drowned in a private pool on Saturday night, July 18.

Looking to help a family hold a memorial service for their daughter, Framingham Public School employee Amy Kane established a GoFundMe on Monday to raise $7,000 for the Framingham family.

In one day, the community of Framingham raised $7,250.

More than 180 individuals and families contributed to the account, many of whom did not know the girl, who would have been a fifth grader at Wilson Elementary School next month. One mother, who said she lost her only daughter due to a drowning, was among the individuals who donated.
