Discussion on Driver's Licenses for Undocumented Immigrants Sunday

The Framingham Town Democratic Committee will host the forum with legislators on June 14.

Pittsfield’s State Representative Tricia Farley-Bouvier will discuss her proposed safe driving bill at the Framingham Democratic Town Committee meeting on Sunday night, June 14.

House Bill 3285 would allow those who are not eligible for a Social Security number to still be issued a driver’s license. Presently the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles requires a Social Security number to issue a license.

Under the bill, a license would be valid for up to four years, but if a driver dos not obtain insurance, the license becomes invalid.
