Still, tough defense, including tackles by Timothy Sullivan and Jacques Cazeau, helped Framingham control the Weymouth offense. The tie was broken in late in the first quarter when Samuel Delaney had a 9-yard touchdown run for the Flyers.

Instead of allowing Weymouth to tie the game, Framingham executed a smart onside kick and regained possession. However, the Flyers couldn’t score during the rest of the half, and Weymouth’s touchdown pass late in the second quarter made the score 6-6 at halftime.

To begin the second half, Framingham had a drive that took lots of time off of the clock and resulted in a touchdown.

Running backs Cody Coleman and Joey Balboni ran through the Weymouth defense while the offensive line blocked well for them. Eventually, Coleman had a 47-yard touchdown run where he broke several tackles, making the score 13-6.

It wasn’t long before Framingham’s lead increased to 19-6 with the help of Jacques Cazeau’s 50-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown.

Marcus O’Brien also had a fumble recovery as the Flyer defense continued to dominate.

Later, Alexander Lopez had a long 20-yard run and a short 7-yard touchdown run to begin the 4th quarter.

The score remained the same for rest of the game and the Flyers won 25-6.
