The trip to the scenic Milton course was well worth it for the Flyers, who defeated Milton and Norwood in a dominating fashion.

Leading the pack for the Flyers was senior captain Mikey McDonald, who had a stellar performance and finished in first place by more than 30 seconds.

Junior Alex Lowry finished in second place.

Other Framingham runners in the top 10 were senior Paul Halberstadt (6th place), junior Tyler Hall (8th place), and freshman Ben Burgess (9th place).

In cross-country, a team’s score is calculated by adding the places of the top five runners on each team.

With five runners in the top 10, Framingham was easily able to win against both Norwood and Milton and improve their record to 4-3.

Framingham was also dominant in the junior varsity race as seven of the top eight runners represented the Flyers.

Sophomore Nick Salerno won the JV race while freshman Ben Silver, sophomore Vito Parisi, sophomore Nick Merriam, and freshman Lucas DeCaux came in 2nd-5th place, respectively.

Next up for the Flyers is a trip to Needham on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
