Flyers Spike #1 Team in Tournament To Reach Semifinals
Framingham High boys volleyball team defeated Algonquin Regional Wednesday in the quarterfinal round of the Division 1 Central tourney.
The Framingham High boys volleyball team spiked the #1-ranked Algonquin Regional High School Wednesday night, to reach the semifinals of the MIAA Division 1 Central tournament.
The Flyers defeated the regional high school 3-1 in Shrewsbury. Framingham High won the match 25-10, 25-13, 13-25 and 25-14.
Kelvin Rivera led the team with 29 kills followed by Matt Chin with 9 kills. Sophomore setter Josh Oakes had 3 dozen assists in the victory.

Algonquin had a record of 15-1 entering last night’s match.
Next up for the 15-6 Flyers is #5 ranked Millis High, with a record of 15-4.
