With only a few meets left in the season, the Flyers looked to finish strong and take a win over a winless Dedham.
On one of the last days of the season with favorable weather conditions, the Framingham boys took the win, turning in the first 8 runners of the meet in a landslide victory.
In his last home meet of his high school career, senior captain Mikey McDonald took 1st place with a time of 14:51, finishing exactly one minute before junior Alex Lowry who finished in second.
Other notable performances were by senior Paul Halberstadt (third), freshman Ben Burgess (fourth), and Tyler Hall (fifth).
Seniors Jared Nussbaum, John Lagoutaris, Mike Goldberg, Nick Benoit, Jacob Hansen, and Eddie Lynch showed up big in their last home meet at Framingham High.
Picking up this win brought the team back to a .500 record of 5-5.
Looking ahead the team hopes to finish with a winning record as they will race in Natick on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Last year, Framingham defeated Natick by one point in a close race.
The upcoming meet will be an exciting race with both Natick and Framingham looking to take home the victory.
