Former Assistant Superintendent Mark Prince made $135,000 before leaving after one year.
Framingham School Committee Chair Beverly Hugo said the contract was a one year contract through June 30, 2016, with an option of extending it for two years, if Tiano receives a “proficient” review.
Tiano was also awarded a $5,000 car allowance and a $5,000 annuity in year one that will increase to a $10,000 annuity in year two and remain at $10,000 in year three. The annuity will be paid at the end of each school year.
Hugo said Tiano would work 260 days under his contract.
“We look forward to a long and productive tenure,” said Hugo to Tiano after the vote.
