Framingham Shooting Suspect Arrested at Motel 6 In Tewksbury
The man apprehended in Tewksbury on Sunday evening is wanted by Framingham Police in connection with a shooting in that town on Aug. 25, according to The Lowell Sun.

The Lowell Sun reports the man barricaded in a room in Tewksbury on Sunday night and later taken into custody is wanted by in connection with a shooting in Framingham last Saturday.
According to The Sun, Tewksbury Police confirmed that the man taken into custody is Damon Johnson, 24, who Framingham Police allegeΒ shot a 29-year-old man in the back of the head just before 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25.Β
Framingham Patch reports that after the shooting on Aug. 25, Johnson allegedly took off in a car whileΒ armed with a 9mm handgunΒ and when cornered by police, escaped on foot. A but he was not found Saturday night.

On Sunday evening,Β NEMLEC's official Twitter account tweeted, "Armed barricaded suspect at Motel 6, 95 Main St. Tewksbury surrenders to NEMLEC SWAT at 7:30 pm. Tewksbury Police take custody of suspect."
