Framingham State Spikes Mount Holyoke and Smith College

With the pair of victories, the Rams volleyball teams snaps a 2-game losing skid and improve to 19-6 on the season.

Northampton, Mass. – The Framingham State University women’s volleyball team recorded a pair of non-conference victories this afternoon defeating Mount Holyoke College 3-1 before defeating Smith College 3-0.

With the pair of victories the Rams snap a two game losing skid and improve to 19-6 on the season.

Against Mount Holyoke, the Rams were led by 12 kills and 18 digs from senior Danielle Girard.

Junior Alycia Rackliffe added 17 kills and six solo blocks, while freshman Megan Leavens chipped in with 10 digs and sophomore Sarah Leonard added 30 assists.

In their final match of the day against the hosts, Rackliffe paced the attack with 17 kills on 34 attempts. Junior Julia Wan (South Deerfield, Mass.) chipped in with 16 digs, while Girard added 11.

The Rams are back in action on Monday evening when they host Eastern Nazarene College in a non-conference match-up beginning at 7 p.m.
