How Big Is The Framingham Class of 2028?

Student enrollment is now at 9,051 students now, according to FPS Director of Family and Community Engagement Magaly Sanchez.

Next year’s kindergarten class is at 754 registered students, according to Magaly Sanchez, the Framingham Public Schools Director Family and Community Engagement.

Sanchez told Framingham School Committee members 709 of the 754 registered incoming kindergarteners had been assigned an elementary school, as of June 2.

Sanchez said 97 percent of families received their first choice for a kindergarten for the 2015-16 school year.

Enrollment continues to increase in the Framingham Public Schools.

In May, the School Committee presentation to Town Meeting had 8,607 students.

The last data supplied to the state. according to the DESE had Framingham at 8,153 students.

On Sunday, the Framingham High Class of 2015 graduated -- a total of 476 students.

That number is much smaller than the last five incoming kindergarten classes.

The Class of 2027 or current kindergarteners is 725 students, according to data required to be filed with the state as of Oct 1, 2014.

The Class of 2026 or current first grade class, according to the state data, is at 785 students. In June of 2013, 805 students had registered with the Parent Information Center in Framingham.

The Class of 2025 or current second grade class, according to state data, is at 767 students.

The Class of 2024 or current third grade class, according to state data, is at at 742 students.

Framingham High School was designed to hold about 2,400 students.

This year enrollment at the high school was just under 2,000 students at 1,995, as of Oct 1.
