Leopards Claw Past Rams For 2-0 Victory
Framingham State women's soccer team is now 6-5-2 on the season.

The Framingham State University womenβs soccer team fell 2-0 in non-conference action to Wenworth Institute on Wednesday in Framingham.
Junior Mary Pastorelli and sophomore Ali Leach each scored goals while freshman Micaela Robinson earned her third solo shutout of the season with a five-save performance.

With the win the Leopards improve to 11-2-1 while the Rams see their record slip to 6-5-2.
Both teams traded chances in the early stages of the contest with Robinson and her counterpart, senior Sara Sullivan making saves to keep the game scoreless.
In the 35th minute Wentworth had its second corner kick in a 25-second span and nearly converted when Pastorelli served the kick to classmate Rachel Perras , whose header sailed just over the crossbar. Wentworth would hold a 9-7 shot advantage after 45:00 of play.
Early in the second half Framingham State had a chance to break the ice, however Robinson came up with a stop to keep it a scoreless contest.
Pastorelli broke the ice at 52:29 when the Leopards were fouled and she set up for a free kick from 40 yards out, which would go past a leaping Sullivan.
Leach nearly had it 2-0 in the 59th minute when her header from in front was stopped but would get the insurance goal at 62:52. Junior Mykaela Scarpace took a shot which was saved by Sullivan. Leach possessed the rebound and tucked home her fifth marker of the season.
The Rams had a chance to trim the lead in the 69th minute, however a shot would hit the post and Robinson would make a save in the 86th minute to preserve the shutout.
Sullivan made 12 stops for Framingham State as Wentworth held a 21-14 shot advantage and took seven of the gameβs eight corner kicks.
