Below is a list of road construction projects by the Town of Framingham and MassDOT this week, July 20-24.
A contractor will continue to install water services on Main Street, between Walnut Street and Union Avenue.
A detour will be in place Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.n. on this section of the roadway. Please seek alternate route. Expect delays.
Night work will continue Sunday through Thursday 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. between Union Avenue and High Street. There will be a temporary traffic management plan in effect utilizing a two-way traffic pattern with reduced lane widths and/or one-way alternating traffic. Expect delays.

- Other areas you will encounter road project in Framingham:
- CENTRAL STREET BRIDGE OVER THE SUDBURY RIVER: Major demolition and reconstruction of the bridge will continue. Traffic will continue to be detoured over the Wickford Road Bridge. Please allow additional travel time.
- COBURN STREET AREA: The contractor will continue drain pipe and structure work on Winthrop Street between Bethany Road and Waverly Street. Sidewalk excavation and curbing work will continue in the area as well. Expect delays.
- CONCORD STREET (Route 126) DOWNTOWN FRAMINGHAM RECONSTRUCTION: The MassDOT contractor will continue construction activities on Hollis Street, Concord Street and Irving Street. Expect moderate delays and on-street parking restrictions.
- EVERSOURCE DOWNTOWN UTILITY PROJECT: The contractor will continue night work Monday through Friday evening, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Concord Street from the rotary southbound towards 116 Concord Street. Expect moderate delays.
- HERBERT STREET/IRVING STREET/LORING DRIVE: The contractor will continue sidewalk and curbing work along Irving Street and Loring drive. Expect moderate delays.
- NICHOLAS ROAD: Milling of the roadway will take place on Friday, July 24.
- OLD WORCESTER ROAD AREA: Rubber Chip Seal application will take place on Monday and Tuesday, July 20-21, 2015 and sidewalk restoration work will continue. Expect minimal delays.
- ROUTE 9 BRIDGE OVER FOSS RESERVOIR OUTLET: This weekend, a changeover of work zones will take place so that construction can continue on the middle section of the bridge. The westbound pedestrian sidewalk will remain closed. Expect moderate delays.
- SALEM END ROAD AND TEMPLE STREET: Milling of the roadway will take place on Tuesday, July 21. Expect significant delays.
- WATER STREET: The contractor will begin sidewalk work on river side (west). Expect minimal delays.
- WINTER STREET BRIDGE OVER CSX: The MassDOT contractor will continue work on the temporary sewer bypass and prepare the site for construction to begin. Expect minimal delays
