Motorcyclist Seriously Injured Thursday Night

The Ashland man, 50, had to be flown by helicopter for medical treatment, after his motorcycle struck a guard rail.

An Ashland man, 50, had to be flown by helicopter for medical treatment, after his motorcycle struck a guard rail Thursday night on Bethany Road in Framingham, according to police.

The helicopter transported the man, who has not been named, to Boston Medical Center, said police.

He suffered several fractures in the crash and is listed in serious condition, but his injuries are not life threatening. First responders said the man was wearing a helmet.

The crash happened just before 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15.

Police said there was a GoPro camera attached to the motorcycle, and will examine any footage, while investigating the crash.

It is believed no other vehicle was involved in the 5:55 p.m. crash, at this time.
