Below is where motorists can expect to encounter road construction projects in Framingham the week of June 8. The projects are both Town of Framingham and MassDOT projects
CENTRAL STREET BRIDGE OVER THE SUDBURY RIVER: Major demolition of the bridge will continue. Traffic will continue to be detoured over the Wickford Road bridge. Please allow additional travel time.
CONCORD STREET (Route 126) DOWNTOWN FRAMINGHAM RECONSTRUCTION: The MassDOT contractor will continue street light foundations and sidewalk work on Hollis Street. Expect minimal delays.
DANFORTH STREET: The contractor will be excavating and prepping sidewalks and removing and resetting sidewalk curbs. Seek alternate route. Expect minimal delays.

EVERSOURCE DOWNTOWN UTILITY PROJECT: The contractor will continue night work Monday through Friday evening, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Concord Street between Sanger Street and the rotary and on Union Avenue from Pearl Street to the rotary. Expect moderate delays.
HEMENWAY ROAD AREA: Roadway surface preparation work will begin. Expect minimal delays.

HERBERT STREET/IRVING STREET/LORING DRIVE: Contractors will be working on installing a sewer manhole and sewer pipes at the intersection of Irving Street and Herbert Street. A second crew will be installing conduit on Irving Street from Blandin Avenue to the intersection of Herbert Street. Expect moderate delays.
MAIN STREET: The contractor will mobilize to install new water mains from Route 9 heading west towards Walnut Street. This night work will be performed between the hours of 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Expect moderate delays.
MEADOW STREET AREA: Contractors will continue sewer replacement construction on Hillside Street between Hillside Street and Meadow Lane. Local residents will be detoured between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. via Hialeah Lane. Expect minimal delays.
MELLEN STREET: The contractor will be performing final surveying work. Expect minimal traffic delays.
NEWBURY STREET: The contractor will continue sidewalk forms and finish work. School buses will be given priority. Expect moderate delays.
OLD WORCESTER ROAD AREA: Roadway surface preparation work will continue and a hot mix asphalt leveler course will be applied. Expect minimal delays.
RIVERPATH DRIVE/OLD CONNECTICUT PATH: The contractor will be conducting final striping of the roadway on Monday night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Expect moderate delays on Old Connecticut Path during early nighttime operations.
ROUTE 9 BRIDGE OVER FOSS RESERVOIR OUTLET: No lane closures expected for motor vehicles; however, the pedestrian sidewalk on the westbound side of Route 9 will be closed. Expect minimal traffic delays.
SAXONVILLE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT: In the area of School Street and A Street minor sidewalk work will take place. Expect minimal delays.
WATER STREET: The contractor will continue work on the retaining wall on the east side of Water Street. Expect minimal delays.
WHITTIER STREET: The contractor will conduct miscellaneous sidewalk and curb work in the area. Seek alternate route. Expect minimal delays.
WINTER STREET BRIDGE OVER CSX: The MassDOT contractor will continue work on the temporary sewer bypass and prepare the site for construction to begin. Expect minimal delays.
WINTER STREET WATER IMPROVEMENT: Wednesday, June 10th, the contractor will conduct soil sampling/borings on Winter Street and Fountain Street. Expect minimal delays.
