FRAMINGHAM, MA β€” Happy Monday and welcome to a cloudy start to the week. The clouds will hang around for most of the week with the potential for rain so residents getting ready to finish casting ballots should bring an umbrella.

With just over a week until election day, voters have been casting ballots early, mailing in ballots and dropping ballots off at designated drop boxes all over the Commonwealth. But over the weekend, a Boston ballot box was set ablaze, prompting Framingham to increase the security of its two drop boxes and add police officers to the locations.

Secretary of State William Galvin's office also asked communities to empty and lock their ballot boxes overnight on Halloween if they are unable to monitor them.
