Rackliffe Reaches Career Milestone as Volleyball Defeates Emmanuel

Junior Alycia Rackliffe led the Rams with 13 kills including the 1,000th of her career as the Framingham State University volleyball team defeated Emmanuel College 3-0 in non-conference action at the Athletic Center Tuesday evening.

With the win, the Rams, who won by scores of 25-22, 25-20 and 25-21, improve to 14-4 on the year, while the Saints fall to 4-10 on the season.

Rackliffe tallied 13 kills on 24 attempts in the game and with her fourth kill midway through the opening set reached the 1,000 kill milestone for the Rams. Rackliffe now has 1,009 kills for her career after tonight’s contest.

Junior Julia Wan chipped in with nine kills on 15 attempts with no errors for the Rams and also added five digs. Senior Annie DeLoid chipped in with eight kills, while fellow senior Danielle Girard added five and four aces.

Sophomore Sarah Leonard contributed 31 set assists, while freshman Mackenzie Whalen added eight.

The Saints were led by eight kills on 16 attempts and four blocks from junior Kaitlyn Atkinson.

The Rams are back in action on Thursday evening when they host Lesley University in a non-conference match beginning at 7 p.m.
