UPDATED: Scott Issues Statement on Cambridge Superintendent Post

Framingham Superintendent of Schools Stacy Scott is no longer in the running for the Cambridge Superintendent post. Framingham Patch published a news alert to subscribers during the 10 a.m. hour Monday.

Scott issued a letter to staff on Monday morning and then posted a letter to the community on the district’s web site.

β€œCambridge has decided to go forward with another candidate,” wrote Scott, who was hired in 2012 as Framingham’s newest school leader. Scott is the sixth in a long line of revolving door superintendents.

β€œWhile it is not certain if I would have accepted an offer, Cambridge certainly posed a developmental challenge,” wrote Scott, who also thanked the community for β€œpositive and supportive well wishes.”

Scott wrote that the process made it clear to him β€œhow much I deeply care and feel connected to the Framingham community.”

β€œI am excited and energized to continue the work we have begun in Framingham uninterrupted,” wrote, Scott who was awarded a new 3-year contract by the Framingham School Committee this year.
