Severe Thunderstorms Forecasted for North of Mass Pike

As the major highway splits Framingham, we could see these possible scattered storms Sunday night into Monday.

The National Weather Service in Boston says severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and tonight, especially north of the Mass Pike.

The Service says storms are most likely between 4 p.m. and midnight, but it is possible the threat could continue overnight into Monday.

The storms may produce damaging wind gusts and torrential rainfall, with frequent lightning and possible hail.

According to the National Weather Service, “it is still uncertain if isolated storms merge into a larger complex of storms. If a larger complex of thunderstorms is able to develop, more significant wind damage would occur, with potential highest north of the Mass Pike. The threat can not be rules out across most of southern New England.”
