SLIDESHOW: Yale Transforms Route 9 Store Into Appliance and Lighting Showroom
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held yesterday for the new Framingham business, that opened on July 13.
Yale Appliance and Lighting opened its second location in its 92 year history earlier this month.
Yesterday, on July 21, the new Framingham business on Route 9, held a formal ribbon cutting with the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce.
Walking into the 215 Worcester Road story is an amazing transformation from the former Salvation Army thrift store.

Yale says it has the largest independent appliance service & delivery team in Massachusetts.
“It’s hard to be a brick and mortar company in a point and click world,” said owner CEO Steve Sheinkopf, who said he chose MetroWest for his second location, as he grew up in Needham and attended many childhood events in the area

The company sells major brand appliances including Electrolux, Thermador, Jenn-Air, Maytag, Whirlpool, and more.
“There is so much selection,” said MetroWest Chamber of Commerce CEO and President Bonnie Biocchi. She said there is something in every price range to fit everyone’s budget.
The company also does appliance repairs for refrigerators, freezers, cooktops, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers.
Sherinkopf said Yale stands out because of its customer service,
It’s very challenging to open a business, said Biocchi. “We are delighted you chose Framingham.”
As soon as you walk into Yale Appliance and Lighting, you easily forget it was a former thrift store.
There are rows of appliances, from stovetops, to refrigerators, to washers and dryers.
Employees are happy and knowledge to answer questions.
There is also scores of light fixtures from chandeliers to pendant lamps.

Sheinkopf said eventually he would like to have cooking demonstrations and other community events at the Framingham location.
