Sophomore Jones Finishes 9th in State Golf Tournament
This 2014-15 season was the first time in Framingham High history a boy and a girl have finished in the top 10 in the Commonwealth.
Framingham High sophomore Jillian Jones shot an 82 at the Massachusetts girls golf state championship at Wentworth Hills Country Club on Tuesday.
Her score tied her for 9th place in the state, said Flyers head golf coach Will Cook.
By placing in the top 10 in the state, Jones earned an invitation to the New England Championship Golf Tournament for high school boys and girls on June 22 at Bretwood Country Club in Keene, New Hampshire.
