St. John Paul II Ends Marian High Baseball Season

The Mustangs lost to the undefeated and #1-seeded team on Monday in Hyannis.

The Marian High baseball season came to an end on Monday afternoon in Hyannis.

St. John Paul II defeated the Mustangs 17-2 at McKeon Park in the quarterfinals of the MIAA Division 4 South tournament.

The top-seeded and undefeated Lions won the game in the bottom of the sixth inning, when the mercy rule was enforced. The game is called under the mercy rule when one team has a 15-run lead.

The Mustangs were the #8 seed in the tournament.

They earned a spot in the quarterfinal round by defeating Blue Hills on June 5 at Bowditch Field 7-6.
