Update on Flyers Golf Team
Report submitted by the Kevin Lenzi of the Framingham High Sports Writing Club.

Hereβs a quick update of what the golf team has been doing for the last few weeks.
On Sept. 29, the golf team had a match against Newton North, a team who is always good. The match was played at their home course, and the Flyers were not able to pull out the win.

During the next three matches, the Flyers faced Wellesley, Weymouth, and Dedham.
The Flyers struggled at Nehoiden Golf Club and lost to Wellesley.

The next match was at home, but at the teamβs practice course, Millwood, instead of Framingham Country Club.
Despite the familiar course, the Flyers had a very poor showing and lost by a small margin to Weymouth.
Finally, the team was able to turn it around with a great victory against Dedham at Dedham Golf and Polo Club.
This left the team needing one win to qualify for the playoffs with three matches to go.
Thursday, the Flyers faced the best team in their conference, Brookline.
The team went away from the normal line up Thursday, which gave a chance for future starters to see a difficult away course that they will play again.
The line up was:
Starters:
1. Max Ferrari (13 points)
2. Ian Bellerose (8 points)
3. Jill Jones (11 points)
4. Will Slater (7 points)
5. Kevin Lenzi (7 points)
6. Jesse Rubin (5 points)
7. Andrew Smith (0 points)
8. Evan Chansky (4 points)

Alternates:
9. Ryan Simone (2 points)
10. Jack Freedman (2 points)
This performance was not enough to lift the underdog Flyers over Brookline.
The match was made much harder because it took place at The Country Club, one of the most exclusive country clubs in the entire country.
The Flyers were privileged enough to play this nice course, which was not only well designed and maintained, but also had some exciting sights to see.
On the 4th hole, just to the left of the rough, is Tom Bradyβs house. Not only was this house massive, but the team members walked by and could see his kids on a trampoline, and Gisele in the back yard. This course, along with seeing Bradyβs house, made this loss easier to swallow.
The Flyers now must win one of their next two matches.
One is against Walpole at Millwood, and another against Milton at Framingham Country Club.
Milton was defeated by the Flyers earlier this year, so hopefully the golf team can secure a spot in the playoffs.
