3. 4G LTE in Holliston: AT&T has expanded its Boston-area 4G LTE network to Holliston, bringing customers the latest generation of wireless network technology, a press release from the company said. AT&T launched 4G LTE in Boston in November 2011, and the expanded coverage is part of its ongoing rollout across the market.

4. Help End Alzheimer's: The Worcester County Walk to End Alzheimer's is coming up on Sept. 30 and now is the time to register as a walker or to sign up to volunteer.

Dog Days of Summer: Best Friend Pet Care in Ashland hosted it own special version of the 2012 Summer Olympics today and the canine athletes from Holliston, Ashland and surrounding towns were jumping through hoops, literally, to capture the gold. "Our doggy day camp regulars love to run, jump and wrestle, so we knew an Olympics Day would be a perfect fit," Michelle Murray of Best Friends said. "The best part of canine competition is that dogs don't care who wins and who loses, they just love playing the games." The Doggy Games featured dogs of all nations and included Track & Field events, like the high jump and hurdles, as well as pool events, like water polo and water retrieval. There was an opening ceremony and a closing ceremony with medal presentations for the winners. According to Murray, the event was a success with dogs, staff and pet parents alike, plans are already in the works for the next special event.
