When Hopkinton High School principal Alyson Geary announced that she was leaving the district last month the administrators jumped right back in to action to find a replacement. Today Superintendent Steven Hiersche announced the appointment of Assistant Principal Evan Bishop for the to fill the vacancy during the first half of 2013. "Mr. Bishop is committed to ensuring a smooth transition and continued focus on the incredible work at Hopkinton High School," A release from the schools said. "The decision at this time ensures a lengthy overlap with Ms. Geary that is needed due to the on-going work of the high school staff." After the Jan. 1 2013 the school department will begin searching for a permanent replacement.
