Groundhog Day: 6 More Weeks of Winter [Poll]

On Groundhog Day, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, forecasting 6 more weeks of winter.

Punxsutawney Phil emerged from Gobbler's Knob to see his shadow this morning during the dawn Groundhog Day ceremony, forecasting six more weeks of winter.

But during an unusually mild winter, six weeks of warm, sunny weather doesn't sound so bad. 

Since the tradition began in 1886, Phil has not seen has shadow only 16 times, according to a CBS news article.

Mike Johnston, President of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club's Inner Circle, said the group doesn't keep a tally if Phil was correct, because he is "incapable of error."

"I guarantee you someone's going to have six more weeks of winter," Johnston told the AP
