Holliston, Milford Police Warn Of Man Disabling Women's Cars Saturday
Police reported that an Asian man in his 30s is suspected of disabling young women's cars this week and offering them rides home
HOLLISTON, MA - Police in four area communities are warning on Saturday of a man who has been intentionally disabling the cars of young women in a possible ploy to offer them assistance or a ride home.
Holliston police shared a warning in a Facebook post Saturday evening describing the activity that has been reported over the past week.
"In these situations, the individual may let air from a tire or add a gas tank contaminant, then approach the female to offer help in the form of a battery pack, air compressor or a ride," Holliston police said. "As in all situations, be aware that individuals offering help may have in fact been involved in orchestrating the situation."

"Current criminal charges pending after an investigation," the post stated. "Be on the lookout for an Asian male in his late 30s driving a blue Chevy Impala with MA plates. He has been targeting young females by flattening their tires, filling their gas tanks with water [then] offering to drive them home."
Milford police advised drivers not to start their cars if their tires have been flattened and to call the police.
"The individual currently being investigated into this matter was spotted in town yesterday afternoon," Franklin police added. "If your vehicle is tampered with or breaks down shortly after starting, give us a call."
On Saturday afternoon, Bellingham police reported that the department is "also investigating an incident involving this individual."
"It is suspected that he tampered with a vehicle in the Charles River Center then approached the female owner when she found her vehicle was disabled," Bellingham police reported. "Please be vigilant and notify us immediately if you observe any suspicious activity."
They also advised drivers to park in well-lit areas and avoid walking to a vehicle alone whenever possible.
