Former MA School Resource Officer Raped Student, 15: Middlesex DA
The 54-year-old assaulted a student in 2004 and 2005, according to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan.

HOPKINTON, MA — A former Hopkinton police deputy chief has been charged with three counts of child rape in connection to the assault of a student nearly two decades ago, according to Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan.
A Middlesex County grand jury indicted former Deputy Chief John Porter, 54, on the rape charges. Porter was the town's former school resource officer. Porter applied for retirement on Friday, effectively ending his employment in the town. He had been on administrative leave since August due to the investigation, town officials said.
According to the DA, Porter assaulted the student, who was 15 at the time, in 2004 and 2005. The assaults took place outside the school.

"We are deeply disturbed and troubled by these accusations. These alleged crimes have no place in our community or anywhere else, and we extend our sympathies to the victim," Hopkinton Town Manager Norman Khumalo and Chief Joseph Bennett said in a joint news release.
Porter has not been arraigned yet, which means he has not entered a plea.
