Hopkinton Releases Design Concept For New Town Website
The town's information technology department is requesting public feedback on the design

HOPKINTON, MA - Hopkinton's Information Technology Department on Tuesday shared the design concept for the town’s new website.
The town launched a survey in February to solicit feedback from residents, volunteers and employees. The survey asked about the current website, future design ideas, and areas of focused improvement. It included five examples of overall design style and asked residents to pick their favorite wireframe, or layout.
The town received more than 125 responses that included a number of common trends. This feedback was used to drive the design concept for the new site.

The refreshed design keeps a modern look and a revived bright and crisp tone that carries through to interior pages, according to a statement. It contains a more prominently displayed and expanded “quick links” section, as well as a streamlined news section with more intuitive navigation between news stories.
The main navigation menu will be simplified and contact info will be more prominently displayed, including in the footer section of each page.

"It’s important to note what we are showcasing now, and looking for feedback on, is
the overall design concept," according to the statement, "which includes layout, colors and section spacing."
Specific text should be ignored in the designs because information will be updated when the design is complete.
You can view the design concepts via these links: the homepage design link and the department landing page concept.
Because these are design concepts and not a live responsive design site, the links are best viewed on a device with at least 1600x800 resolution such as a larger tablet or a computer versus a smartphone.
