Kitchen Inspections: Hopkinton Public Schools
Health inspections have taken place across town recently. Today we look over the inspections of the public schools.

Several Minor Violations were noted in the Hopkinton school kitchens when they were inspected last week. The following notes were taken from the Health Department's notes after the inspections.
Center School, 10:20 a.m.:
- Ensure all light fixtures have appropriate covers.
- Replace ceiling tiles in employee restroom.
- Replace missing floor tiles near cold drink fridge in kitchen.
- All worktables to remain clean, fix broken edges.
Elmwood School, 10:55 a.m.:

- Dryer vent not connected outside.
- All food items need to be stored at least six inches above the ground.
- Ensure all light fixtures are covered.
Hopkins School, 9:50 a.m.:
- Ensure backflow is prevented near service sink in pump room. [Fixed during inspection]
Hopkinton Middle School, 9:37 a.m.:

- All food items need to be stored at least six inches above the ground.
- Replace ceiling tiles, ensure no water is leaking and clean the ceiling vent in storage room.
- Ensure all ventilation is properly cleaned regularly.
Hopkinton High School, 9:17 a.m.:
- Maintain proper storage of the ice scoop.
