Coordinating a Thanksgiving meal for your family is no small task. Coordinating a full Thanksgiving meal for 135 Holliston area families in need is an even bigger task – but one that was accomplished with the support of so many individuals, businesses and organizations in our amazing community.
The annual Thanksgiving Day Basket Project is a collaboration between the community, the Holliston Newcomers, and the Holliston Food Pantry. Thanks to an amazingly productive food drive, monetary donations from area businesses and individuals, handmade cards crafted by everyone from preschoolers to grandparents, mini food drives by local churches and girl scouts, months of planning and more than a little manual labor – what seemed like a daunting project is complete!

This Thanksgiving, 135 local families will gather around a traditional holiday dinner – complete with turkey, stuffing, potatoes, squash, a homemade pie and other delicious food.
The Holliston Newcomers would like to thank the community for the wonderful level of support at a time when so many were additionally focused on the much needed help for victims of Hurricane Sandy. We hope that all are able to enjoy a family meal this Thursday and are thankful to live in a community that supports our friends and neighbors.
